Payment

  1. No payments accepted by personal cheque or cash , BACS payment required on completion of works or for deposits

  2. A 10% surcharge will be added to the bill for any late payments

  3. Work of £500 or more require a 30% deposit paid in advance.

  4. Prices quoted include Value Added Tax, where applicable at current VAT rate

  5. Prices quoted may increase or decrease dependant on technical difficulty found on completion of work due to routing of cables etc, and/or structure/fabrications of building etc.

  6. It will be the responsibility of the caller who makes the booking to ensure any third party contact are aware of what is required as no refund will be given if the work has not been carried out as per order.

  7. Unless prior arrangement all works will be paid for on date of completion.

  8. On hiring Home 240 electrical services all terms and conditions are deemed as accepted

Conditions

  1. A site survey will be conducted due to health safety restrictions and a full risk assessment will be carried out to assess the situation in the first instance.

  2. Guarantee of work – if you notice a fault after any repair work which has been undertaken by a Contractor, then you must report this fault immediately to Home240.

  3. These terms and conditions are subject to review and change by Home240 either verbally or in writing.

  4. All our contractors are professionally qualified.

  5. Every effort will be made to ensure that we attend the site on time; however, allowance must be made for weather conditions, traffic and any other previous job taking longer than anticipated.

  6. If the need arises to return to do remedial work then please note that in the first instance Home240 should be contacted to undertake such works (please note: if Home240 are not the first contact, no liability will be accepted). However, if we are called in to repair other people’s work or the remedial work turns out to be a new job, then charges will apply as per the tariff.

  7. An ‘investigation fee’ will be applied if any work undertaken needs to be further investigated. The charge for this investigation will be applied as per tariff.

  8. Home240 or any persons working for or on behalf of take no responsibility for any damage to carpets, floor coverings, expensive items and furniture during works carried out, although care is taken to ensure there is minimal damage.

  9. Home240 or any persons working for or on behalf of take no responsibility for any damage to decoration, Wall coverings, or fixtures and fittings during works carried out, although care is taken to ensure there is minimal damage.

  10. Home240 are not responsible for the repair of or making good any wall/ceiling surface after installation of sockets, luminaries, switches, and consumer units etc, although care is taken to ensure there is minimal damage.

  11. Home240 are not responsible for the relaying of any floor coverings.

  12. All work comes with a 12 month guarantee form date invoice is paid, subject to normal operation of installation/equipment

  13. Home 240 do not take any responsibility for any materials provided by clients ,in either function or fit

  14. Materials provided by clients are not covered by our standard 12 month guarantee

  15. All materials provided and fitted by home 240 electrical services remain the property of home 240 electrical services until invoice is settled in full
